One fine weekend afternoon when hubby was out on a business trip, I’ve decided to go for a girly day with my little girl. Had some lunch & ice cream, walked around V&A, then we saw this incredible group of talented people who literally put their heart in front of the audience when performing their inspiring musical show. I have always admired the people who live their passion, passionately but seeing Hlanganani band in action really opened my third eye of inspiration 💗 As I found so little information about them, decided to write this post to voice their talent in my own little way.

Hlanganani means Unite in Zulu (one of the 11 official languages in South Africa) which is quite meaningful if we think about how South Africa is really embracing this word in order to move forward together as a unity. The band itself also combining their talents around this concept through art and passion. Today, Hlanganani plays soulful jazz beat and afro-pop using the marimba, drums and percussions.

Eventually I had an awesome day with my little one, can’t thank enough to these beautiful people for sharing their passion with us that day! If you happen to be around Victoria and Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town, you need to see them from the front row. And trust me you’ll have a terrific day filled with joy and South African beats 💃

Hlanganani performs live at the V&A Waterfront (right across the Cape Wheel) every Saturday from 11 am till 6pm. Entrance is free. For more info you can reach Mvuzo Ndengezi on 078 4694 8178 or email hlangaculture@webmail.co.za

Bi keyifli haftasonu öğleninde, eşim iş seyehatindeyken kızımla kız kıza bi gün geçireyim dedim. Biraz yemek biraz dondurma, azıcık gezinti derken bu inanılmaz yetenekli yerel müzik grubunun sokak gösterisiyle karşılaştık. Her zaman işini, hobisini, tutkusunu tutkuyla yapan insanlara imrenmişimdir.

Eğer olur da Cape Town’a gelip Victoria and Alfred Waterfront civarlarında olursanız ve hedef etnik müzik ritimleriyle dans etmekse 💃 muhakkak sokak gösterilerini izlemenizi tavsiye ederim.

Hlanganani grubu sokak gösterilerini V&A Waterfront’da (Cape Wheel dönme dolabının tam karşısında) her Cumartesi 11.00-18.00 arası gerçekleştirmekte olup, gösteri ücretsizdir.
